Description

Gantenbein’s Chardonnay comes from Fläsch in the Grisons Rhine valley, where Martha and Daniel Gantenbein established the winery in 1982. The vineyards lie on scree slopes at the foot of the Alps, around five hundred metres above sea level. Chardonnay occupies a small part of the estate’s vineyard area. In the cellar, the layout allows grapes and juice to move by gravity, avoiding pumps and filtration. The interpretation combines mineral character and the strength of the fruit, following an approach centred on grape quality and preserving its integrity during processing.
