Description

Gaston Chiquet’s Tradition is a Premier Cru blended Champagne combining Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Reserve wines from earlier harvests are added to wines from the base vintage. The grapes are associated with the family vineyards in the Vallée de la Marne, around Dizy, Hautvillers and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ. Winemaking takes place in small temperature-controlled tanks, with malolactic fermentation completed before bottle ageing on the lees. The profile combines suppleness, finesse and persistence. Blending grape varieties and reserve wines plays a central role in maintaining continuity in the cuvée’s expression.
