Description

The Gerardo Cesari Bosan Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva 2016 is a single-vineyard red from Marano di Valpolicella. It is made from Corvina Veronese, Corvinone and a small share of Rondinella grapes that undergo drying (appassimento). Following fermentation the wine is aged for an extended period in barrique and further rested in bottle, yielding a full-bodied, structured wine with long persistence. Tasting impressions typically include concentrated ripe fruit, spice and balsamic notes.
