Giacomo Conterno’s Barolo Riserva Monfortino is the estate’s historic reserve from Monforte d’Alba, released only in vintages judged exceptional. It is a Barolo DOCG made from Nebbiolo grapes sourced from the estate’s vineyards, traditionally centered on the Francia cru and sometimes including fruit from nearby parcels in certain years. The wine is characterised by the longevity and structural depth typical of top Barolo riservas. Winemaking and ageing follow the estate’s traditional approach, with prolonged maturation prior to release.
