Description

The 2021 Impronte from Giorgio Meletti Cavallari is a Bolgheri Rosso Superiore from the Castagneto Carducci area in Tuscany. It is produced from a declared blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (70%) and Cabernet Franc (30%) from the Piastraia vineyard; fermentation uses indigenous yeasts and the wine is aged about 14 months in new barriques followed by bottle ageing. Aromas include ripe dark berries with minty and liquorice hints; on the palate it is full-bodied and structured, with present but rounded tannins and good persistence.
