Description

San Lorenzo Bianco selects the white grapes growing among old red-grape vines in its namesake contrada on Etna’s northern slope. At around 750 metres, sandy volcanic soils support mainly Carricante, with Catarratto and Grecanico completing the local varietal mix. Harvesting is manual; a brief period of skin contact is followed by maturation in previously used barriques and tonneaux, without malolactic fermentation. Citrus and flowers shape the aromatic profile, accompanied by gentle spice. Freshness, savoury depth and persistence define the palate, leaving room for the mineral texture of this vineyard selection.
