Description

Marassio interprets Serradenari Nebbiolo from an elevation of 530 metres, on a west-facing slope in La Morra. Its Tortonian soil has a silty loam texture, abundant limestone and a slightly alkaline character, distinguishing this parcel from the estate's other sites. The grapes are harvested by hand and ferment spontaneously in conical wooden vats, with extended contact between juice and skins. Maturation then continues in Austrian oak casks. Giulia Negri's approach places altitude, soil and precise vineyard origin at the centre of the wine, supported by an unhurried cellar regime designed around this individual site.
