Description

The Barbera d’Alba “Scudetto” is produced by G. Mascarello e Figli from Barbera grapes grown in the Scudetto vineyard at Perno, Monforte d’Alba. Vinification follows a traditional floating-cap fermentation (about 12–20 days) and the wine is aged in medium-sized oak casks or inert vessels; bottles are typically released about three years after the vintage. It shows a deep ruby color, intense varietal fruit aromas and a full, balanced character.
