Description

Arcuria is Graci’s pure Nerello Mascalese from the namesake contrada in Passopisciaro, within Castiglione di Sicilia. The bush-trained vineyard lies at around 600 metres on Etna’s northeastern slope. Following a manual harvest, fermentation in oak vats accompanies an extended maceration, before maturation in large casks with spontaneous malolactic fermentation. Red fruit, blood orange and subtle spices shape the bouquet. On the palate, fullness meets dense, refined tannins and a freshness that extends the finish, while a mineral impression remains clearly perceptible. The result places the character of this particular contrada at the centre of the wine.
