Description

Gravner's Ribolla connects the Collio's historic grape with the landscape of Oslavia and Hum, between the Adriatic and the Julian Alps. Hand-harvested grapes enter buried Georgian amphorae, where prolonged skin contact is essential to the winemaking process. After pressing, the wine returns to amphora, then spends years in large, previously used Slavonian casks before further bottle ageing. It is bottled without fining or filtration. Its identity is shaped by this patient sequence, placing the relationship between a local variety, skin maceration and extended maturation at the centre of the wine.
