Description

Jungìmmune Rosso tells the story of Maletto’s mixed vineyards in the high-altitude Etna landscape tended by Sonia Gambino. Grenache, known locally as Granazzu, takes the lead, joined by Nerello Mascalese, Tinto Nero and other varieties found in old plantings. Manual harvesting and gentle destemming and crushing precede maceration in stainless steel. Maturation uses steel, concrete and demijohns, followed by a period in bottle. Gustinella grew from the recovery of small family vineyards and a low-intervention approach to winemaking, giving this red a close connection to a less familiar part of Etna’s agricultural heritage.
