Description

Argonne is the vintage Champagne through which Henri Giraud connects the parcels of Aÿ Grand Cru with the forest that supplies its barrel wood. The cuvée expresses the family's exploration of the relationship between vineyard, winemaking and the origin of oak. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are worked in barrels from the Argonne forest, an integral part of the wine's construction. The aim is to bring the substance of Aÿ grapes into dialogue with carefully considered maturation. Its name therefore refers both to a specific place and to a cellar choice fundamental to the house's identity.
