Description

Hill of Grace is Henschke’s Shiraz from its namesake Eden Valley vineyard, near the historic village of Parrot Hill. The name translates Gnadenberg, recalling the Lutheran church overlooking the site and the community’s Silesian origins. The oldest vines, known as the Grandfathers, were planted by Nicolaus Stanitzki around 1860. They grow on their own roots in alluvial sandy-loam soils over clay, on a site farmed without irrigation. Vineyard care incorporates organic and biodynamic practices, with the continuity of this viticultural inheritance at its centre.
