Description

Fèis belongs to Hiyu's wines from Scorched Earth, a vineyard on the banks of the Columbia east of Lyle in Washington State. Its parcel lies closest to the river, with deeper soils and more organic matter than the site's other sandy and basaltic sections. In 2016 the vines were regrafted with a field blend inspired by the winegrowing history of southwestern France. Fèis explores this idea of diversity through a wine rooted in one place, where the coexistence of different varieties is integral to the vineyard's character.
