Description

Barthenau Vigna S. Urbano is Hofstätter’s Pinot Noir from a defined vineyard on the Mazon plateau in Alto Adige. The Vigna designation underlines this specific origin, an important part of the estate’s identity. Grapes are harvested and selected by hand; the wine matures in oak and completes its development in bottle in the Barthenau cellars. Its ruby colour accompanies aromas of sour cherry and raspberry with delicate suggestions of vanilla and spice. The palate combines aromatic concentration, balanced acidity and integrated tannins, with a structure suited to further development.
