Domaine Hubert Lignier's Les Blanchards is a Morey-Saint-Denis Premier Cru from the lower part of the slope. The clay-rich ground contains rock debris carried down from the Morey valley hollow, a geological origin that characterises this Côte de Nuits site. The cuvée shows density and structure and can appear reserved in youth. Bottle age allows its profile to open towards fruity and lightly spicy notes. The wine belongs to the Lignier family's interpretation of Morey-Saint-Denis' different climats, retaining an identity linked to vineyard position and its capacity to develop.
