Description

The 2023 Vinupetra from I Vigneri is an Etna Rosso DOC made from century-old vines in Contrada Porcaria (Castiglione di Sicilia) at about 580 m above sea level. It is a traditional blend dominated by Nerello Mascalese with Nerello Cappuccio and Granache, matured 12–18 months in 225L and 500L casks and further bottle aging. The vineyards are trained in the alberello style on volcanic soils, hand-harvested and farmed for low yields to emphasize concentration and mineral character.
