Description

Ipsus is Il Caggio’s Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG, produced from the estate’s single-vineyard enclave in Castellina in Chianti. It is made from selected Sangiovese clones grown on clay-schist and calcareous marl soils at 310–361 m elevation. The wine shows fine tannins and a concentrated texture with aromas of red fruit, red-orange peel and spice. Official technical information lists it as Chianti Classico Gran Selezione and 100% Sangiovese.
