Description

Schidione is a Supertuscan by Jacopo Biondi Santi produced at the Castello di Montepò estate (Scansano, Maremma). It is a red blend made primarily from Sangiovese Grosso (clone BBS11), Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The name refers to a local tradition and the wine reflects the decisive, contemporary style of the Biondi Santi estate. The fruit comes from west–southwest exposed vineyards planted on galestro soils at roughly 300–500 m elevation.
