Description

Le Bout du Clos brings an Ambonnay parcel on the Montagne de Reims into Jacques Selosse's Lieux-Dits collection. Acquired in 2001, the vineyard has a gentle slope and a greater clay component than the other sites in the series. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay come together in this interpretation of the Grand Cru, built by combining successive harvests. The importer highlights its rich, fleshy character, intense red-fruit expression and depth. It offers a reading of Ambonnay in which the substance of the wine and the particular nature of the soil remain central.
