Description

Champ Caïn 2013 focuses Jacquesson's work on a Chardonnay parcel in Avize, at the foot of a south-facing slope. The vines were planted in 1962 on limestone-rich soil containing clay, sand, silt and chalk gravel above Campanian chalk. In 2013 the grapes were harvested on 10 October, after a season that began cold and ended in more favourable conditions. The cuvée was released without dosage. This Blanc de Blancs expresses a clearly defined place and an individual harvest, making it a focused example of the house's exploration of single-vineyard Champagne.
