Description

Jean Chartron's Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru is a Chardonnay from clay-limestone soils. The estate's parcel covers just under thirteen ares and includes vines planted in 1960, a historical reference linking the wine to this vineyard. Fermentation takes place in oak barrels, combining new wood and previously used vessels. Maturation continues on the fine lees for around fourteen months; the process also includes a subsequent period in tank. The cuvée brings together its Grand Cru origin and the estate's cellar approach to the production of white wines.
