Description

Jean Chartron's Puligny-Montrachet is a village-appellation Chardonnay grown on clay-limestone soils. The estate's vineyards at this level include plantings made across several decades, from 1962 to 2017. The juice ferments in new and previously used oak barrels, after which the wine matures on its fine lees for around twelve months. A period of approximately four months in tank follows. The cuvée therefore connects several generations of vineyard plantings with the family's tradition in the village, where the domaine was founded in 1859.
