Description
Clos de la Pucelle is a Jean Chartron monopole classified as Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru. The Chardonnay vineyard covers just over one hectare and includes plantings from 1953 and 1967, on clay-limestone soils. Fermentation takes place in new and previously used oak barrels. The wine remains on its fine lees in wood for approximately twelve months, followed by around four months in tank. The clos name identifies a precise origin belonging entirely to the estate, joining the vineyard's history with the Puligny-Montrachet family's work on white wines.
