Description
Jean Chartron's Les Folatières is a Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru made from Chardonnay. The estate's vineyard covers just over half a hectare, with plantings from 1962 and 1983 on clay-limestone soils. In the cellar, the juice ferments in oak, using both new and previously used barrels. Maturation on the fine lees lasts approximately twelve months in wood, followed by a further period of around four months in tank. The vineyard's precise origin and the sequence of ageing stages define the production background of this Puligny Premier Cru.
