Description

Jean Chartron's Rully Montmorin is a Chardonnay from clay-limestone soils. The estate holds more than three hectares of vines in the climat, with plantings dating to the late 1980s. Fermentation takes place mainly in previously used oak barrels, alongside a proportion of new wood. The wine matures on its fine lees for approximately eight months in barrel and completes the process with around four months in tank. Its Montmorin origin therefore connects the cuvée to a specific site in Rully and the family's work on white Burgundy.
