Description

Within the extensive Clos de Vougeot, Jean-Marc Millot's holding lies in Grand Maupertui, near the château and below Grands Échezeaux. Pinot Noir grows on clay-limestone soils and is picked by hand, destemmed and cold-macerated before fermentation. Maturation takes place in oak barrels. The producer describes a concentrated yet fresh wine with fruit, spice and gently roasted nuances supported by a substantial tannic structure. Its character is particularly suited to development in bottle: patience gives the wine's structure and complexity the opportunity to become progressively more harmonious and expressive.
