Description

Aux Faulques comes from the heights of Comblanchien, facing the village's famous stone quarries. Its name recalls the beech trees that once grew here, where Pinot Noir is now planted. Limestone strongly predominates in the clay-limestone soils, which the domaine associates with the wine's freshness and mineral character. Hand harvesting is followed by destemming and cold maceration before fermentation; maturation takes place in oak. The producer describes an energetic red with crisp fruit and good ageing potential, offering a precise expression of this southern part of the Côte de Nuits.
