Description

Cuvée 1949 takes its name from the planting year of the Échezeaux du Dessus vines selected for this bottling. Created in 2017, it isolates part of the domaine's parcel to give a dedicated interpretation of this climat near Grands Échezeaux. The Pinot Noir is hand-picked and destemmed, with cold maceration before fermentation and subsequent maturation in oak. The producer highlights complexity, tightly woven tannins and a persistent finish, alongside red and black fruit and spice. It is a cuvée that rewards patience as its different elements gradually become more expressive.
