Description

Grands Échezeaux comes from Jean-Marc Millot's small holding on a regular, east-facing slope near the upper section of Clos de Vougeot. Bajocian limestone lies beneath the clay-limestone soils, marking the geological identity of this part of the Côte de Nuits. The Pinot Noir is harvested by hand and destemmed, followed by cold maceration and eventual maturation in oak. The domaine describes a broad, deep wine combining black fruit with freshness and considerable persistence. Its structure invites patience, allowing bottle development to reveal the full range of its complexity over time.
