Description

Jean Marniquet’s Grande Réserve is a Premier Cru Champagne combining Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with the former clearly predominating. The blend brings together Avenay-Val-d’Or, Mutigny, Oger, Verzy and Verzenay and includes reserve wines from several harvests, including a component from a perpetual reserve. Winemaking takes place in enamelled-steel and stainless-steel tanks, with malolactic fermentation completed. The colour is deep gold and the bubbles are fine. Aromas recall ripe yellow fruit; on the palate, the same aromatic family extends towards dried fruit, with breadth and persistence.
