Description

Jérémie Huchet's Chapeau Melon Blanc is a Loire Vin de France combining Melon de Bourgogne and Sauvignon Blanc. The grapes are harvested by hand. Its profile highlights flowers, citrus and a suggestion of exotic fruit, while the palate retains tension and a lemon-like character. The cuvée suits aperitif drinking, served cool at around nine to eleven degrees. It comes from the work of a grower based in Château-Thébaud who took over the family property in 2001, continuing a four-generation tradition associated with the vineyards around Nantes.
