Description
Euphoria Blanc 2023 is Jérémy Carteret's Chardonnay from Les Crucibées in Fussey, within the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune. The vines occupy a southeast-facing slope with well-draining brown soils rich in clay and stones. The grapes are crushed by foot and handled with a vertical press, while fermentation is entrusted to indigenous yeasts. In 2023, the wine matured for nine months in used barrels and a 600-litre clay jar. Contact with the lees accompanies this process, with the different vessels playing a deliberate part in the development of the finished cuvée.
