Description

Les Grandes Carelles comes from a Pinot Noir parcel planted in 1937 in Pommard and leased by Jérémy Carteret. Vineyard work follows uncertified organic practices, using cover crops, limited soil cultivation and little or no hedging of the vines. In the cellar, the bunches remain whole and fermentation begins with indigenous yeasts. The wine is vertically pressed before it becomes completely dry, then matures in barrels and is bottled by hand. The cuvée places an old vineyard at its centre, with a sequence of decisions built around the fruit it provides.
