Description
Jermann’s Pigna Truss 2012 is a Venezia Giulia IGT red made from Pignolo, a native Friulian variety with a history documented over centuries. Its colour is dark ruby. The profile has an animal character, while plum, plum skin, sour cherry, earth and carob emerge on the palate, with a slightly bitter undertone. Acidity remains evident and supports a particularly robust palate. The tannins are strongly pronounced and surround the fruit with a firm grip, giving the 2012 an austere and structured character.
