Description

Les Béguines is the heart of La Closerie, Jérôme Prévost's project in Gueux, in the Petite Montagne de Reims. The family parcel, planted with massal selections, is dominated by Meunier alongside small amounts of other varieties. Hand harvesting and restrained yields accompany farming attentive to the vitality of the vineyard. In the cellar, the juice ferments with indigenous yeasts in used barrels and demi-muids. The wine retains a strong identity of origin, expressed through a vinous approach in which the second fermentation adds another dimension to the work already accomplished with the base wine.
