The Domaine Joseph Pascal Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Chalumaux 2022 is a white wine made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes grown in the Les Chalumaux climat of Puligny-Montrachet. The producer’s parcel (about 0.8 hectares) sits on clay-limestone soils; vinification includes barrel fermentation with roughly 25% new oak and an 11-month élevage on lees with regular bâtonnage. Aromas of citrus, ripe pear and subtle floral notes are complemented by toasted hazelnut nuances, while the palate shows mineral tension, an elegant structure and good length.
