Description

Cru Monplaisir is the Gonet-Médeville family’s Bordeaux Supérieur, built around Merlot and completed by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The vineyards occupy soils combining clay, gravel and alluvial deposits. Hand harvesting and stainless-steel fermentation accompany an approach intended to keep fruit at the forefront. Maturation takes place mainly in tank, with part of the wine spending time in barriques. Its profile favours approachability, softness and a fine tannic texture, within the range of Bordeaux properties managed by Julie and Xavier Gonet-Médeville and their family’s longstanding connection to the region.
