Description

Keller's Kirchspiel GG is a dry Riesling from Westhofen in Rheinhessen, tied to the upper part of a vineyard shaped like an amphitheatre opening towards the Rhine. Mainly south- and southeast-facing slopes receive early morning sunshine and are sheltered from cold winds by a chain of hills. Clay marl, limestone fragments and limestone bedrock define its geological foundation. Keller's approach focuses on expressing the individual vineyard, making Kirchspiel a distinct point of origin within the estate's range of dry Rieslings. The wine's identity is therefore closely connected to this sheltered, calcareous landscape.
