Description

Keller's Oberer Hubacker GG explores dry Riesling from the upper section of the Dalsheim vineyard. A mainly southeast-facing exposure and the shelter provided by the Donnersberg against wind and rain define the setting of this Rheinhessen site. The vines grow in soils combining stony loess, clay marl and limestone bedrock. The name Hubacker retains a historical connection with an old measure of land. Within Keller's range, this precise origin offers an interpretation of Riesling centred on the relationship between the hillside, its underlying geology and the individual character of the vineyard.
