Keller’s Riesling Auslese Abts E is associated with Abtserde, a historic sector of the Brunnenhäuschen vineyard in Westhofen, Rheinhessen. The name preserves the memory of a site that retained its own identity until the vineyard reorganisation of 1971. Its southern exposure coexists with cool westerly winds, encouraging late ripening. The soils combine clay marl and limestone, with iron-rich areas taking on reddish tones. This Auslese selection presents Riesling through a specific origin, where vineyard history, geology and local conditions provide the setting for the wine.
