Description

Obelunec is the Sauvignon Blanc that Kmetija Hedele dedicates to the hillside vineyard of the same name above Goče in the Vipava Valley. The parcels lie below the small church of Marija Snežna, on ponca-rich slopes at around 350 to 400 metres above sea level. The site is vinified separately to preserve its identity. Grapes are pressed as whole bunches and fermentation uses indigenous yeasts. Time in wood is followed by rest in stainless steel, still on the lees: an extended process accompanying the search for texture and a mineral expression of Sauvignon.
