Description

Kolfok Grüner Veltliner Vulkan Alte Reben 2022 is a white wine from Neckenmarkt in the Mittelburgenland area of Burgenland. It is made from old-vine Grüner Veltliner and undergoes spontaneous fermentation, maturing in local oak barrels of 500–600 litres. The vineyards sit on heavy loam and clay soils with volcanic sediments from the nearby Pauliberg. The wine is bottled unfiltered with a light sulphur addition and shows the floral and spicy character typical of Veltliner from this area.
