Description

Kappa is Kren’s Collio Bianco, combining Chardonnay, Friulano and Sauvignon grown in Cormòns. The Guyot-trained vineyards stand on ponca, the marl-and-sandstone soil characteristic of these hills. Harvesting is carried out by hand with careful selection of the bunches. Fermentation and maturation take place in barriques, with frequent stirring of the lees, before further rest in bottle. The wine offers floral and citrus notes supported by freshness and a savoury character. Its structure allows it to accompany risottos, fish dishes and white meats, bringing together the three varieties in a single expression of the Collio.
