Description

Krug Collection 1996 is a later expression of the 1996 vintage, made from bottles kept for longer in the house’s cellars. Its blend brings together Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier, selected to convey the character of the harvest. Extended time on the lees accompanies a broad, creamy texture supported by freshness and intensity. The aromatic profile combines toasted notes, coffee and chicory with candied fruit, quince and a subtle smoky accent. On the palate, lemon appears in several forms, from fresh fruit to candied peel, within a balanced, layered structure.
