Description
Krug Clos d'Ambonnay interprets Pinot Noir from a tiny walled parcel on the south-eastern slopes of the Montagne de Reims. The clos covers 0.68 hectares and belongs to a village that has supplied the house since its earliest years. After years of searching, the Krug family identified this site and created a separate cuvée beginning with the 1995 harvest. Each bottle therefore brings together one place, one grape variety and one vintage. The intensity of Pinot Noir and attention to the individual parcel define one of the most narrowly focused expressions of Krug's work.
