Description

Krug Clos du Mesnil comes from a single Chardonnay parcel in the heart of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. Covering 1.84 hectares and protected by walls since 1698, the vineyard gives the house an opportunity to follow one precise place through a single harvest. The decision to make the cuvée is taken only when tastings reveal a suitable expression of this origin. Its first vintage was 1979. The house describes its character through purity, freshness and length: a reading of Chardonnay in which attention to one vineyard site determines the wine's entire conception.
