Description

Maté’s Vineyard Chardonnay is a single-vineyard Chardonnay from Kumeu River, made from grapes grown at Maté’s Vineyard in Kumeu, Auckland. The fruit is hand-harvested and whole-bunch pressed; fermentation is conducted with indigenous yeasts and in French oak. The wine undergoes full malolactic conversion and spends about 11 months in barrel, showing structure and freshness with flavors of stone fruit, hazelnut and gentle toasted spice.
