Description
The 2020 Amarone della Valpolicella from La Collina dei Ciliegi is a red Amarone DOCG produced in the Valpantena area near Verona. It is made mainly from Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella, with grapes dried for about 100 days followed by fermentation and extended aging—36 months in new French oak barriques and tonneaux—and 8 months of bottle maturation. The wine shows a deep garnet color and aromas of cherry, ripe plum, sweet spices and cocoa; on the palate it is full-bodied, structured and tannic. Declared alcohol content is 15.5% ABV.
