Description
La Perlée is a still white wine from La Porte Saint Jean produced in the Saumur area of the Loire Valley. It is made solely from Chenin Blanc vines of advanced age (roughly 60–90 years) grown on shallow loam and limestone-influenced soils. Extended barrel ageing (about 18–24 months) gives the wine body, notes of yellow fruit and white flowers, and a pronounced mineral finish.
